Situated at the southern tip of Pinellas County bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay, St Petersburg boasts an amazing pier, a charming promenade and lots of shops and restaurants.
St Petersburg’s Pier was built in 1889 and it is covered by a spaceship like inverted pyramid featuring five levels of shops, restaurants, a tourist information desk, observation deck, boat docks, miniature golf, sightseeing boats and a food court. There is also a hands-on children’s museum and aquarium located at the pier.
Activities in St Petersburg include swimming, sunbathing, sailing, as well as biking and running along the Pinellas Trail.
